Our Staff

Canaan Land teachers are dedicated to providing an environment that creates happiness and growth in each child. Teachers provide a safe and healthy atmosphere for a child to grow. It’s more than just a job for our teachers but a ministry that allows the teachers to pour Christian values into the children and inspire them to be their very best. Canaan Land provides low teacher-to-student ratios to allow teachers to spend quality individual time with every student.

* Teachers are trained and experienced in early childhood education.

* Complete annual CardioPulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Blood Borne Pathogen training.

* Complete Safe Sleep, Shaken Baby, Mandated Reporting, and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome classes.

* Pass Criminal background checks.

* Pass State of Michigan Sexual Offenders Registry.

* Obtain 4.5 continuing education units (CEU’s) from an accredited college or university.

*Attend a minimum of 12 clock hours of training through conferences, seminars or classes relating to early childhood education.

*Participate in monthly staff enrichment meetings.
